About The Position
The Wags Club in West LA is seeking dedicated Dog Daycare Attendants to provide professional care in its luxury, cage-free daycare and boarding facility. The role combines dog handling with creating a safe, structured environment where dogs can thrive. Attendants supervise dog groups, provide daily care, communicate with pet parents, maintain the facility, and collaborate with other handlers.
Requirements
- Be reliable and punctual, take direction well, and pay close attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with pet parents and teammates.
- Be physically able to work on your feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle active dogs of all sizes.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a dog daycare, kennel, veterinary clinic, or similar setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dog behavior, including recognizing and addressing common behavioral issues and understanding the importance of structure and boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dog play sessions, ensure safety, address behavioral issues, and maintain a calm, balanced environment.
- Follow feeding schedules, administer medications when needed, and observe dogs for health or behavioral concerns.
- Provide pet parents with professional updates about their dogs’ behavior, health, and activities.
- Keep the facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Work with other handlers to support a positive and efficient workflow.
