About The Position
The Wags Club in West LA is seeking dedicated Dog Daycare Attendants to care for dogs in a luxury, cage-free daycare and boarding facility. The role combines dog handling with professional care, creating a safe and structured environment where dogs can thrive. Attendants supervise play, provide care, communicate with pet parents, maintain the facility, and work collaboratively with other handlers.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dog behavior, including the ability to recognize and address common behavioral issues and understand the importance of structure and boundaries.
- Reliability, punctuality, ability to take direction, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with pet parents and teammates.
- Ability to work on your feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle active dogs of all sizes.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in a dog daycare, kennel, veterinary clinic, or similar setting is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dog play sessions, monitor safety, address behavioral issues, and maintain a calm, balanced environment.
- Follow feeding schedules, administer medications when needed, and observe dogs for health or behavioral concerns.
- Provide pet parents with professional updates about their dogs’ behavior, health, and activities.
- Keep the facility clean, safe, and organized.
- Collaborate with other handlers to create a positive and efficient workflow.
