About The Position

The Daycare Attendant provides a fun, caring daycare for customers using the Washington City Community Center facilities. The role engages children in supervised activities and helps keep them safe. Duties also include cleaning toys and supplies, decorating the facility for monthly themes, assisting with department events, coordinating craft days, entering department paperwork, and helping with weekly deep cleaning. The position works under the direct supervision of the Day Care Director and Assistant Managers and supervises children in the community center daycare.

Requirements

High school graduate.
Knowledge of daycare safety, CPR, and First Aid.
Prior experience working with children.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to divert, direct, and motivate children using toys, books, and other activities.
Must have a TB test and be certified in CPR and First Aid before working in the daycare.
Must complete a background check and drug screening evaluation before an employment offer.

Responsibilities

Help children while they are in the daycare.
Engage children in supervised activities and help keep them safe from everyday accidents.
Clean toys and supplies at the end of each day.
Decorate the facility for monthly themes.
Assist with special department events.
Coordinate craft days.
Enter department paperwork.
Assist with weekly deep cleaning.
Supervise children at the Washington City Community Center Day Care.
