About The Position

Pet Medical Center of Pasco is hiring a full-time Pet Care and Dog Daycare Attendant. The role combines hands-on care for boarding pets with supervision and enrichment for daycare dogs. The schedule is flexible, averages 36 hours per week, and includes rotating weekends. Compensation is $17.13–$18.50 per hour.

The attendant provides attentive care for pets, including feeding, administering medications as directed, exercise, play, and enrichment. They supervise daycare play groups to maintain safe and enjoyable interactions, clean and prepare kennel spaces, and communicate pets’ needs, behavior, and concerns to teammates and supervisors. The position involves standing and moving for extended periods and lifting and restraining animals of varying sizes. Requirements

• At least 1 year of animal handling and care experience.
• Comfort handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• A team-player attitude that builds trust with staff and supervisors.
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable in a busy, noisy, high-energy environment.
• Availability for rotating weekends.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift and restrain animals of varying sizes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, attentive care to boarding and daycare pets.
• Prepare meals and follow each pet’s feeding instructions.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Provide exercise, play, and enrichment for pets.
• Supervise dogs during daycare play groups and keep play safe and fun.
• Clean, sanitize, and prepare kennel spaces.
• Communicate pets’ needs, behavior, and concerns to teammates and supervisors.
