About The Position

The Dog Groomer will join a small, supportive grooming team for the busy holiday season, working 2–3 days a week through the end of the year. The position may continue after the holidays, with the option to work full-time or maintain a part-time schedule depending on fit and business needs. Dedicated bathers prepare dogs, while the front desk handles booking, check-in, and client calls. The salon offers a steady, booked schedule supported by a loyal client base and membership program.

Hours are Tuesday through Saturday during the day, approximately 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no late nights. Thursday through Saturday availability is preferred for the part-time role. Pay is $21–$24 per hour depending on experience, plus tips.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience in a salon or mobile setting.
• Comfort with common breed cuts and scissor work.
• Available at least 2 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, through December.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a steady pace.

Nice To Haves

• Grooming school certification.
• Experience with doodles and other high-maintenance coats.
• Interest in working more hours after the holidays.

Responsibilities

• Groom approximately 5–6 dogs per shift, including full grooms, breed trims, and hand-scissoring.
• Handle dogs safely and calmly, including senior dogs, puppies, and nervous dogs.
• Talk with owners at pickup about the groom and when their dog should return.
