About The Position

The Documentation Specialist will assist in the production of System Support Directives, handbooks, notices, and other documentation required to support the NAS and NAS support systems. This role involves working with automation systems for numbering, recording, documenting, tracking, and reporting NAS system status and procedures. The specialist will support data interchange between systems, information sharing, and security techniques for users operating workstation and LAN systems. Additionally, the role requires developing, writing, and editing technical material for various publications, observing production activities to determine operating procedures, and potentially writing articles or public relations releases. The position may also involve editing material prepared by other writers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum four (4) years of documentation experience OR an Associate's Degree and two (2) years of documentation experience.
  • Knowledgeable in data entry, document generation, and document storage and maintenance through word processing applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Typing proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Ability to use reference guides and equipment manuals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
