About The Position

The Document Control Specialist manages the lifecycle of critical production and quality documentation. This role ensures adherence to industry standards, maintains version control for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, and provides secure, audit-ready records.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing documentation, or document control.
  • Understanding of QMS, document retention policies, and automotive quality standards.
  • High proficiency in Document Management Systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong technical writing capabilities, and the ability to communicate across various departmental tiers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation, revision, and approval of controlled documents.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with automotive industry standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as IATF 16949 or specific OEM requirements.
  • Maintain documents and ensure that production and relevant departments always have access to the most up-to-date procedures.
  • Prepare documentation, track change histories, and assist internal and external teams during compliance and quality audits.
