About The Position

This is a full-time, confidential search for a Document Control Specialist in Irvine, CA. The role involves ensuring controlled documents are accurate, consistent, and compliant, which is crucial for smooth operations and audits. The specialist will work closely with the team and stakeholders in a defense site environment, supporting first-shift onsite operations. This position directly supports the organization's quality and regulatory practices.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Experience with document editing and version control
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Document control or quality systems experience (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
  • Exposure to audits or regulated environments

Responsibilities

  • Update and format procedures, work instructions, and forms using Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Maintain logs and trackers in Excel to support traceability
  • Create and update process flowcharts, tables, and forms
  • Perform document audits including formatting, proofreading, and reference verification
  • Apply version control, numbering, and change tracking
  • Support document release, distribution, and archival processes
