About The Position

Shopko Optical is seeking an Optometrist to join its team at the Appleton, Wisconsin location. The role offers autonomy to build the practice and support in developing meaningful relationships in the community. Full ancillary support, including screening and patient billing, allows doctors to focus on patient care.

The position includes comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fitting, refractive services, diagnosing, treating, and managing eye disease, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery. It is a no-call position with dedicated staff to support patient care.

Shopko Optical began in 1978 as part of the Shopko retail chain and transitioned to freestanding optical centers in 2019. It operates across multiple states and provides eye exams, eyewear, and contact lenses in a community-oriented setting.

Requirements

• OD degree from an ACOE-approved College of Optometry.
• Ability to communicate with customers and teammates.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
