About The Position

The Dockworker primarily works in the outside dock area of an AmeriGas facility. The employee unloads empty propane cylinders from trucks, carries them to the refill station, refills them, and returns the filled cylinders to the dock for reloading onto trucks for the next day's delivery. Other duties may include cylinder repair and maintenance, providing customer training on dispensing propane, and handling refills for walk-in customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to climb steps and ladders, walk 1–5 miles, and carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 pounds each.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and climb in and out of a truck.
• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of work experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload empty propane cylinders from trucks.
• Carry cylinders to the refill station and refill them.
• Move filled cylinders back to the dock and reload them onto trucks.
• Perform cylinder repair and maintenance as needed.
