About The Position

Cash-Wa Distributing is hiring a Dock Worker/Loader for its Kearney, Nebraska warehouse. The warehouse includes dry, cooler, and frozen areas, and employees may rotate between them. The role is responsible for quickly, correctly, and securely loading pallets and boxes into trailers so drivers can access products in delivery order without searching. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with a 4:30 p.m. start and approximately 45–50 hours per week. Pay is $20.50 per hour, with no travel required.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Ability to regularly lift up to 65 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Trailer loading or unloading experience preferred.
Pallet jack experience preferred.
Warehouse experience helpful.

Responsibilities

Receive and review load sheets at the start of the shift to determine what needs to be loaded onto each truck.
Arrange pallets and boxes picked by the day shift in route order so they can be placed correctly alongside night-shift orders.
Use a pallet map of the trailer to load products in reverse stop order, placing the first delivery near the trailer doors for driver access.
Place day-shift pallets and boxes next to or on top of the night-shift pallets for the same stops, including hand stacking and moving boxes.
Ensure all boxes and pallets assigned to each truck are loaded.
Place products correctly in relation to the bulkhead separating frozen, cold, and dry products.
Secure the load so products will not shift or roll during transport, including using load locks.
Perform final load checks.
Scan temperature tubes and confirm products are at the correct temperature.
Take a picture of the load.
Notify the shag driver when the load is complete.
