Dock Worker - 1st Shift

About The Position
The Dock Worker works in a distribution facility in Plainfield, Indiana, on the first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role involves picking items using the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems, checking order accuracy and item condition, and preparing boxes for shipping. Overtime is required, including Saturday and Sunday work. New hires complete a 90-day evaluation period intended to support training and successful integration into the team. Safety shoes are required.
Requirements
- At least 4 months of previous distribution facility experience.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds.
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, seasonal work environment.
- Safety shoes are required.
Responsibilities
- Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items.
- Verify book titles, quantities, and item conditions to maintain accuracy.
- Label, scan, and sort boxes for shipping.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
