About The Position

Penske Logistics is hiring a Warehouse Worker - Dock Associate to work in a warehouse environment as part of a safety-conscious team. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Compensation is $23.20 per hour. The role is designated as safety sensitive and requires working in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, with responsibility for the safety of oneself and others.

The associate stages and sorts products for loading, safely loads and unloads trailers, operates dock doors, sorts and stores parts, stacks boxes and pallets, moves materials, and scans freight or parts. Electric pallet jacks and forklifts may be operated as needed. The work takes place in non-climate-controlled conditions and involves frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting, along with regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.

Requirements

• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate customer service, interpersonal, multitasking, organizational, flexibility, numerical, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Willingness and ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location.
• Complete a Penske employment application and pass a background investigation, including checks of past employment, education, and criminal history, and a drug screening.
• Ability to remain alert and work safely in a safety-sensitive position.
• Ability to remember and understand instructions, guidelines, or other information; see and verbally communicate; and meet the stated vision requirements.
• Ability to move frequently; stand, walk, and sit; use hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities
