About The Position

The Dock Tech Loader works under the direction of the Shipping Coordinator to facilitate loading outbound shipments onto trailers and complete the final processing of eCommerce orders. The role requires accurate and efficient labeling and loading, monitoring multiple loads or trailers, communicating with carriers about trailer movement, and performing other shipping tasks as workload requires. The employee may also work in other departments or factory areas and may report to other supervisors when shipping volume is low. The role shares lead responsibilities for Loaders and Multi Machine operators and may help train others. The position is scheduled for first shift, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., part-time. Beginning the week of November 23, associates must be available to transition to full-time hours based on business needs, with schedules of either 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening and weekend hours are required during the October–December peak holiday shipping period. Mandatory Saturdays may be required in December based on production needs. Work takes place in a warehouse, assembly, and production environment near moving mechanical parts. Employees may work near fumes or airborne particles when operating a machine. The area has moderate noise, including forklifts, and shipping may be cooler than other departments because trailer doors are open; trailer interiors may be colder. The work involves standing and walking most of the time, frequent use and reaching with hands and arms, and lifting 10–50 pounds up to two-thirds of the time. The role requires following established shipping, food-safety, quality, sanitation, and equipment procedures. The expected pay is $16.50 per hour. Eligible full-time team members are offered health, wellness, and other benefits; eligibility may vary based on location, average hours worked, and length of service.
