About The Position

The Dock Helper maintains the dock area and other areas of a retail operations center. The role loads and unloads donated items, Target merchandise, New Goods, and salvage from trucks; moves materials to designated areas; and helps keep the site clean and orderly. The position may also assist with baling salvage, provide backup support to Truck Helpers or Donation Center Attendants, and sort New Goods for shipment to stores. The position starts at $15.50 per hour. Team members can access career development and skill training classes at no cost and receive a team member discount. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience operating a forklift, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift operation certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload donated items, Target merchandise, New Goods, and salvage from trucks.
• Move bins, bales, and other donated items to designated areas.
• Remove donated items and trash from the dumpster area to keep the site clean and orderly.
• Submit copies of salvage receipts to the Director, Transportation & Logistics.
• Report known or suspected security or theft problems to the Director, Transportation & Logistics or another member of management.
• Assist with baling salvage when needed.
• Provide backup support for Truck Helpers or Donation Center Attendants as needed.
• Sort New Goods to send out to stores.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Director, Transportation & Logistics.
