About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor focuses on creating memorable shopping experiences for customers and advising them on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge and training; the role brings passion and personality to help customers with their beauty needs. The position also involves maintaining a professional store environment and supporting sales and promotional activities. A range of working schedules and hours is available to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position requires periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• May work around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally be exposed to irritant chemicals, fumes, and odors.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
