About The Position

The Dock Helper maintains the dock area and other areas of a retail operations center. The position loads and unloads donated items, Target items, new goods, and salvage from trucks; moves materials to designated areas; and helps keep the site clean and orderly. It also assists with salvage baling, truck helper or donation center attendant duties, and sorting new goods for stores as needed. This part-time position starts at $15.50 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or GED and one year of experience operating a forklift, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift operation certification.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Load and unload donated items, Target items, new goods, and salvage from trucks.
Move bins, bales, and other donated items to designated areas.
Remove donated items and trash from the dumpster area to keep the site clean and orderly.
Submit copies of salvage receipts to the Director, Transportation & Logistics.
Report known or suspected security or theft problems to the Director, Transportation & Logistics, or another member of management.
Assist with baling salvage when needed.
Provide backup support for Truck Helpers or Donation Center Attendants as needed.
Help sort new goods to send to stores.
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Director, Transportation & Logistics.
