Dock & Door Technician
About The Position
Alliance Material Handling is hiring an experienced Dock & Door Technician for a field-based position serving customer locations throughout the territory. Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Winchester, Virginia. Technicians start and end their day at home and travel directly to customer sites; this is not a remote position. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing dock levelers, overhead doors, and related warehouse equipment, with consistent hours and overtime opportunities. Starting compensation is $24 per hour, based on experience. Alliance Material Handling is a 100% employee-owned company. Requirements
- Mechanical experience in dock and door work, construction, garage doors, or a similar field.
- Comfort working with tools, equipment, and installations.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, climb, and work in physical environments.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Winchester, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair dock levelers, overhead doors, and related equipment.
- Travel to customer facilities throughout the day.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
- Communicate clearly with customers about work performed and recommendations.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
