About The Position

Durango Mountain Club is an exclusive, members-only restaurant and club that holds staff to high standards to deliver the premier experience members expect. The DMC Support Lead acts as a manager and go-to person for staff, members, and guests, helping anticipate needs and support restaurant service. This is a seasonal position at Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colorado, anticipated to run from November 7, 2026, through April 1, 2027. Dates may change based on applicant availability and business needs. The position includes a free season pass for the employee and their dependents. Hiring takes place on a rolling basis, and the position remains open until filled.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of basic food and beverage service procedures.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to spend much of a shift standing and walking.
Ability to lift and carry trays of food and drinks, kegs, and other items, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Ability to bend and reach for items stored on high and low shelves.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

Act as a manager and go-to person for DMC staff, members, and guests by anticipating needs and providing assistance.
Greet arriving guests, make them feel welcome, seat them, and ensure they have what they need.
Assist the bartender and servers during service.
Clear and sanitize tables promptly after patrons leave so they are inviting to incoming guests.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
