About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking an on-call PSR I to join their team in Grove, OK. This role involves varied hours and essential functions such as reporting to work on time, performing assigned duties, maintaining a positive and professional attitude, and working collaboratively. The position requires specimen collection across all age groups for both inpatients and outpatients, along with clerical tasks and computer data entry. A strong focus on customer service and professionalism is essential.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both in person and on the telephone.
• Must have excellent dexterity.
• Must be neat and professional in appearance.
• Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor during stressful situations.
• Lift light to moderately heavy objects (1-15 lbs frequently, 16-25 lbs occasionally, 26-40 lbs seldom; over 41 lbs with assistance).
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Requires long hours of eye and hand coordination.
• Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
• Talking.
• Walking.
• Balancing.
• Bending/kneeling.
• Pushing/pulling.
• Reaching/twisting.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen requirements and basic computer use is helpful.
• Current phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Experience working / interacting with patients in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work both independently and as a team member.
• Perform specimen collection for all age groups, including inpatients and outpatients.
• Complete clerical tasks and computer data entry.
• Provide customer service in a professional manner.
• Fill in for scheduled and unscheduled absences of phlebotomy staff.
• Travel may be required for this position.
• Extensive use of phone and PC.
• Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day.
