About The Position

The Divisional Controller will oversee and manage all financial activities across a multi-location manufacturing organization. This strategic leadership role is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control, and compliance. The Divisional Controller will work closely with regional managers, plant general managers, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term business objectives. This role requires strong analytical acumen, manufacturing cost accounting expertise, and the ability to drive financial performance across geographically dispersed facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management, and organization skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is often preferred.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis in a manufacturing setting.
  • Hands-on experience driving cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of month-end closing entries and reconciliations. Will also include daily and weekly activities/reports.
  • Review and analyze the plant results of the Manufacturing Operations for the assigned plant.
  • Prepare Monthly Bridge Analysis comparing actual results to prior year, rolling forecast, and budget.
  • Working with the operations management team, communicate and develop corrective action plans to improve financial results.
  • Prepare and analyze Product Cost structures; BOMs / Routers for new workflows, new products, and recasts of costing parameters for current products.
  • Help in inventory control and maintenance.
  • Team with operations management to develop a monthly rolling forecast that is accurate and efficiently developed by focusing on the key financial drivers.
  • Experience leading audits and implementing strong internal control systems.
  • Review financial analysis support for capital projects.
  • Audit financial and working capital returns of capital appropriations to determine if the financial and operating efficiencies were achieved.

  • Assist in analyzing Customer & Product Profitability
  • Misc. Ad hoc reporting as requested by the executive leadership team.
