About The Position

District RV Resort Managers oversee the operations and continued profitability of two or more resorts and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for guests and residents. The role covers administrative activities, marketing, leasing and home sales, property maintenance, budgeting, and resident and guest relations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of property management or resort experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
General knowledge of maintenance.
Solid negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to fair housing and employment law.
Basic computer proficiency, including email, the internet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.
Ability to live on-site within the resort, if applicable; housing is provided.
Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Six months of previous sales and leasing experience.
Six months of experience working in the hospitality industry.
Six months of experience using NetSuite.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests and residents receive high levels of service consistent with Sun’s Customer Service philosophy.
Resolve complaints and respond to issues promptly, offering solutions consistent with guidelines.
Manage rent collection, including collecting, posting, and depositing income from rental-site leasing; ensure bad debt is submitted to collections.
Handle delinquencies and approve eviction proceedings in accordance with Sun’s policies.
Ensure compliance with team-member safety policies and submit workers’ compensation and incident reports on time.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies regulating fair housing laws and resort operations.
Maintain overall resort appearance to Sun’s curb-appeal standards.
Coordinate team-member selection and development and ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Monitor, code, and approve operating-expense and sales-related invoices; maintain petty cash and activity accounts.
Consult the RVP when questions or situations lack established guidelines.
Oversee and account for nightly balancing of RV income, sign off on bank deposits, and forward RV income reports to the Main Office.
Inspect and recommend purchases and renovations of repossessed homes.
Market model, pre-owned, and brokered homes for sale and prepare documents to list and sell homes.
Identify and prepare sites for Sun Homes models and coordinate with maintenance to prepare vacant sites for home move-ins.
Assist the RVP with marketing strategy and advertising to attract prospective guests; retain copies of marketing materials, advertisements, flyers, and outreach programs.
Assist the RVP with annual operating budgets and provide data for capital expenditure and expansion budgets.
Review monthly property accounting reports, compile reports for Accounting, and prepare monthly explanations of profit-and-loss variances.
