Distribution/Warehouse Clerk - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Wenger Corporation is seeking a Distribution Warehouse Clerk in Owatonna, Minnesota. The role supports the company’s goal of providing an exceptional customer experience by maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing errors, and ensuring timely product delivery. The clerk performs warehouse distribution, inventory, and materials-handling support across assigned areas according to established procedures, practices, and standards. The position requires planning and coordinating production and shipping support, completing accurate paperwork, maintaining knowledge of materials and storage locations, and contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.
Requirements
- Ability to work in multiple areas under minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a valid lift truck license.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with materials management.
- Class A CDL.
Responsibilities
- Perform support duties involving common-carrier and small-parcel warehouse distribution, inventory, and materials handling according to established procedures and standards.
- Plan production and shipping support using working knowledge of parts, materials, and processes.
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time, and notify coordinators or managers about missing or questionable information that could cause delays or downtime.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and system updates.
- Evaluate orders for discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
- Assist manufacturing by picking up finished goods promptly and placing them in warehouse locations.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of material locations and review location information or maps.
- Suggest ways to maintain a safe work environment and minimize hazards to coworkers.
