About The Position

The Distribution Technician performs and supports operational functions for quality control, label inspection and separation, packaging, special instructions, and shipping. The role helps meet customer delivery deadlines while maintaining quality standards. The position is on the Back End Night Shift: Wednesday 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m. and Thursday through Saturday 8:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. The hourly rate is $18.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom’s core values.
• Stand for two-thirds to all of the shift daily.
• Use hands and fingers to handle and feel for one-third to two-thirds of the shift daily.
• Reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds of the shift daily.
• Lift 50 pounds for one-third to two-thirds of the shift daily.
• Close vision sufficient to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, separate, slot, and package label and print products accurately.
• Maintain quality-control standards.
• Use the ERP system to log time and materials accurately.
• Complete shipments and ensure packages go to the correct person or place according to the daily job schedule, instructions from the lead or supervisor, job ticket, or customer special instructions.
• Communicate printing, laminating, or shipping errors and other quality issues to appropriate individuals.
• Double-check shipments leaving the production facility for errors before they reach customers.
• As needed, communicate with courier companies and drivers about shipping delays, special courier deliveries, and other issues affecting customer deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; use required PPE and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Work overtime or another shift as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with company policies, including drug-free workplace and safety policies and procedures.
