About The Position

The Distribution Team Lead supports day-to-day warehouse operations in an assigned area, ensuring incoming orders are processed according to department goals, transactions are accurate, and discrepancies are reported and resolved. The role assists the Department Supervisor in maximizing productivity and employee morale while meeting service levels. It is a full-time hourly position and functions as a working lead, participating in operational tasks as well as coordinating work.

Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds regularly and repetitively maneuver and handle products up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Assist the Department Supervisor in managing work assignments and adjusting staffing to optimize operational flow and labor hours.
Monitor staffing to ensure distribution tasks are completed and notify the Supervisor of employee, system, or operational issues.
Monitor employee productivity, assess performance, inspect work against standards, identify areas for improvement, and provide detailed feedback.
Run productivity reports and ensure materials are handled accurately and without damage.
Organize products for maximum efficiency.
Monitor work activities in assigned areas and report status updates to the Supervisor.
Troubleshoot system and process issues, assist with corrective procedures, and provide status updates to the Department Supervisor.
Help maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
Ensure work equipment is functional and available, inspect it for shortages or damage, and report findings to management.
Participate in and assist with tasks in the assigned operational area.
