About The Position

The Distribution Operator 4 handles administrative activities for inbound and/or outbound loads associated with associates crating, moving, loading, unloading, and storing lawn and garden products. The role is onsite at The AMES Companies’ Reno, Nevada facility and includes maintaining handheld terminals, completing shipping and receiving data entry and documents, scheduling carrier appointments, and documenting shipment discrepancies. The position pays $21.67 per hour.

Requirements

Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask.
Strong communication skills for internal and external customers.
Regularly perform job duties at a rapid pace.
Ability to perform the described physical demands, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Ensure handheld terminals are maintained and fully charged, and ready to update and download in a timely manner.
Ensure all receiving and/or shipping data entry is completed.
Prepare shipping and/or receiving documents accurately and in a timely manner.
Schedule inbound and/or outbound appointments with carriers.
Document discrepancies in paperwork for inbound and/or outbound shipments and notify a supervisor.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
