About The Position

The Distribution Operator 4 - Inventory Control handles administrative activities related to inbound and/or outbound loads involving associates who crate, move, load, unload, and store lawn and garden products. The role is onsite at The AMES Companies’ Reno, Nevada facility and pays $21.67 per hour.

Requirements

Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask.
Strong communication skills for internal and external customers.
Ability to perform duties at a rapid pace.
Ability to comply with safety policies and wear required PPE.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Maintain hand-held terminals and ensure they are fully charged and ready for timely updates and downloads.
Complete all receiving and/or shipping data entry.
Prepare shipping and/or receiving documents accurately and on time.
Schedule inbound and/or outbound appointments with carriers.
Document discrepancies in inbound and/or outbound shipment paperwork and notify a supervisor.
Use strong computer skills and multitask.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Perform job duties regularly at a rapid pace.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
