About The Position

The Distribution & Inventory Lead II is a senior technical expert responsible for logistics operations, strategic process improvements, resolution of complex operational issues, and mentoring team members. The role oversees logistics tasks across prior levels, inventory control, the customer service ticket queue for Novato clients, and coordination with internal departments and external partners. The position also tracks operational metrics, supports company events, troubleshoots systems, equipment, and facilities concerns, and helps adopt new logistics technologies and best practices. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on business volume, with day-of or week-of notice; overtime shifts are typically up to 1.5 hours and may occasionally include Saturdays. Compensation is $26–$31 per hour, based on applicable experience.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, inventory, or logistics operations, including at least 1 year in a lead or senior role.
Experience managing carrier relationships and shipping and returns workflows, such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex operational, systems, and equipment issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional and international teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Sheets.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
Demonstrated experience running cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy in a warehouse or inventory management system.

Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese for cross-collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

Own and continuously improve Level 1–4 logistics tasks and serve as a resource for process questions.
Conduct monthly cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure supplies are stored correctly and safely.
Oversee the customer service platform and ticket queue for Novato clients, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of shipping, return, and order inquiries.
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal departments and stakeholders, including IT China, Customer Service, and Production, as well as external vendors, suppliers, and carriers.
Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to increase productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
Track and report operational metrics, including inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, returns processing time, and carrier performance, and use them to guide decisions.
Coordinate with stakeholders and carriers and ship event supplies and inventory to support company events.
Act as the escalation point for complex operational issues involving systems, equipment, and facilities.
Partner with IT, vendors, and facilities teams to troubleshoot issues, document root causes, and implement lasting fixes.
Evaluate and lead adoption of logistics technologies and practices, including automation, scanning, and warehouse or inventory software enhancements.
Train team members through hands-on demonstrations, documented procedures, and regular performance feedback.
Identify and resolve training-related issues and skill gaps.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
