About The Position

We are seeking a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor for a 12-month contract. This role involves taking ownership of the day-to-day performance of an assigned production area and leading a team of dedicated Associates. The supervisor will ensure daily and weekly production goals are met by fostering a safe, efficient, and high-quality operating environment. Key responsibilities include optimizing costs, driving service standards, and strengthening positive Associate relations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in Distribution, Retail or similar industry.
  • University Degree or College Diploma; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams that support fast paced warehouse environments, including planning, prioritizing, developing and implementing processes, tools and supporting Associate performance.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to positively influence management and Associates to act in the best interest of the Company by providing advice, feedback and mentorship to resolve problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a data center within a Distribution Center is an asset.
  • Ability to work with excel and understand data is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Associates across shifts to execute daily plans and meet production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Align and implement operational plans across daily, weekly, and multi month timelines while anticipating obstacles, seasonal fluctuations, and changing business needs.
  • Use data to guide decisions, drive performance, and identify opportunities to improve processes, accuracy, and merchandise flow.
  • Coach and develop Associates through hands-on support, performance assessment, training, and timely feedback.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to maximize efficiency and support a smooth, seven day a week operation.
  • Assign and organize work effectively while ensuring adherence to health, safety, operational standards, and work methods.
  • Apply the Collective Bargaining Agreement to maintain positive labour relations, address concerns, and lead grievance discussions.
  • Support annual initiatives and special projects, while contributing to talent acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing development planning for the team.
