About The Position

The Distribution Center Operations Manager oversees and manages the daily operation of a single shift at an AutoZone distribution center, with responsibility for accuracy, productivity, on-time delivery, and safety. The manager regularly communicates with the DC Manager about process improvements, goals, and metrics. The role includes managing and developing Advisors and Supervisors across multiple departments, maintaining a safe working environment, and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Requirements

At least 5 years of successful experience in distribution or warehouse operations.
Flexibility to work the shift schedule.
Cross-functional experience overseeing multiple areas simultaneously.
Experience operating Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE).
Exceptional people skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Understanding of fast-paced operations involving receiving, stocking, inbound, outbound, replenishment, returns, and recalls.

Nice To Haves

P&L management experience.
Bilingual ability in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

Manage and assist Advisors and Supervisors in multiple departments.
Motivate team members and contribute to a team environment.
Ensure that operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are on target.
Frequently attend or lead pre-shift meetings in different departments to communicate and prioritize assignments, safety issues, and additional tasks.
Mentor, train, and develop Advisors for career progression.
Develop and share best practices across shifts.
Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Communicate new policies and procedures to Advisors and AutoZoners.
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners implement safety practices, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Work in a safety-sensitive environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
