About The Position

FleetPride is hiring a Distribution Housekeeper to perform routine cleaning and maintenance at its Memphis distribution center. The role involves keeping the building clean and orderly, maintaining supplies, handling rubbish and recycling, and operating cleaning equipment. The work is active and takes place in an environment with regular exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and temperature variances. Requirements

• One or two years of related work experience.
• Ability to handle equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Integrity and ability to work independently.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and meticulous use of proper safety procedures.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the active work, including lifting, pulling, and moving truck parts that may weigh more than 50 pounds, as well as walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, washing walls, and removing rubbish.
• Sweep, mop, and dust; keep supplies stocked in the break room and on the floor.
• Remove garbage and replace cans with new bags.
• Drive a scrubber and operate a recycling bailer.
• Keep the building clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
