About The Position

The Distribution Center Assistant Manager oversees and manages assigned departments within the Distribution Center, providing direction and support to achieve the XLP/TPH Vision and Mission while upholding XLP/TPH Core Values. The position may encompass inbound and outbound departments, entire shifts, or any combination thereof. This full-time, salaried role leads department operations, staffing, safety, compliance, and performance improvement. It also supports the development and evaluation of Team Members and Leadership. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen that meets company guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of warehouse or wholesale distribution center experience.
Excellent leadership, organizational, critical-thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong working ability with Microsoft Office products (required).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and optimize assigned departments to meet KPI goals and execute the XLP/TPH Mission.
Ensure accurate and efficient processes and pursue continuous improvement to enhance value, service, and profitability.
Implement and oversee safety programs to protect associates, equipment, and property.
Maintain compliance with company, customer, and government regulations.
Develop and execute work plans for staffing levels, labor costs, overtime, and retention within assigned departments.
Monitor and evaluate performance variances, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions and training needs.
Guide and develop Team Members and Leadership through feedback, support, and by modeling core values and policies.
Participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation of Team Members and Leadership, addressing ethical, performance, and compliance issues.
