About The Position

The Distribution Associate is responsible for functions in the distribution center, prioritizing safety and ensuring a high level of quality for customers. The role includes handling customer orders and returns, coordinating shipments, managing and replenishing inventory, inspecting shipments, and identifying defective returned products. The position is based at New Balance’s Salt Lake City, Utah Distribution Center.

Requirements

• Good communication skills, including the ability to read and understand English and match numbers and letters.
• A proven track record of workplace stability and dependability.
• Ability to use an RF scanner or WMS workstation.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to push or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete for more than 8 hours per day, with regular bending, reaching, and crouching.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 12 feet where applicable.
• Ability to use stairs and work at heights on a mezzanine where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
• Receive and process returns and exchanges, and troubleshoot problems through resolution.
• Organize shipments to third-party distributors.
• Sort, count, package, label, unpack, and log shipped or received inventory.
• Inspect shipments for damage or defects, record discrepancies or damages, and notify a supervisor.
• Reorganize warehouse shelf inventory for seasonality.
• Unpack product shipments and replenish warehouse shelves.
• Identify returned defective units with the appropriate defective reason code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
