About The Position

The Distribution Associate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate transition of products from the distribution dock to agencies picking up products for transport. This part-time, non-exempt position works in a typical warehouse setting and is not eligible for a work-from-home option. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Director of Warehouse/Warehouse Floor Manager.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.
Ability to safely use power equipment.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

Stage agency orders for pickup in the distribution area.
Return remaining items to stock at the end of the business day.
Validate order invoices, correct errors when discovered, and ensure both agencies and staff sign.
Ensure products displayed in the distribution area are clean and safe.
Ensure the distribution cooler is stocked.
Provide excellent customer service to agencies.
Ensure doors are secured when distribution is not open to the public.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace in both interior and exterior distribution areas.
Inspect power equipment prior to use.
Follow all safety standards and procedures.
Work independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the Food Bank's mission.
Adhere to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
