Distillery Experience Guide
About The Position
Sagamore Spirit is seeking a motivated, reliable part-time Distillery Experience Guide to deliver high-quality hospitality throughout the visitor experience. The role involves learning and sharing the brand story, product assortment, and distillation process; assisting guests in the Visitors Center; preparing tasting rooms; supporting reservations, tour and event check-ins; and leading tours and tastings. Guides also assist with inventory audits, represent the brand at occasional off-campus events, and operate the store operating system. The position requires strong customer service, public speaking, dependability, organization, teamwork, and a passion for the brand. Starting pay is $19 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Six months to one year of customer service experience.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to travel regionally, if necessary.
- Ability to lead and speak in front of large groups.
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-service skills, including promptly responding to customer needs and service requests and ensuring excellent visitor engagement.
- Public-speaking skills, including presenting confidently to large groups, answering questions professionally, speaking loudly and clearly, and varying inflection and rate to engage audiences.
- Dependability, including following instructions, responding to management direction, and keeping commitments.
Responsibilities
- Learn the Sagamore Spirit brand story, product assortment, and distillation process and share that information with visitors.
- Assist guests with shopping and checkout in the Visitors Center.
- Prepare tasting rooms accurately and on time for guests.
- Help guests make reservations and check in for tours and events.
- Memorize and retain the Sagamore Spirit Tour Script to deliver engaging, accurate tours and tastings.
- Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality to visitors.
- Assist with monthly inventory audits.
- Work periodically at off-campus events promoting the brand.
- Represent and uphold Sagamore Spirit brand values in interactions with teammates and guests, on and off the distillery campus.
- Operate the store operating system accurately on a daily basis.
- Exhibit passion for the brand.
