About The Position

Omnicare, a provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities and other targeted healthcare populations, is hiring a pharmacist to support its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health. The pharmacist will help advance pharmacy management’s goals and objectives within a long-term care dispensing pharmacy, providing routine and emergency drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for multiple drug distribution systems serving care centers. The role calls for a strong work ethic, excellent customer service, and the ability to prioritize workflow while ensuring medications reach customers efficiently and safely. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with an anticipated schedule of 35 hours per week. The pay range is $60.58–$101.54 per hour; actual compensation depends on factors including experience, education, and geography.

Requirements

• Pharmacist license for the state of New York in good standing.
• PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain pharmacy security.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
• Check new and refill labels and orders for completeness and precision.
• Check drug packaging and labeling for content and accuracy.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations based on business needs.
• Follow applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary by location.
• Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service.
• Prioritize pharmacy workflow and provide excellent customer service.
