About The Position
Together, Marken, UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics, is the clinical and advanced therapy part of UPS Healthcare. This position coordinates and dispatches shipments and performs tasks related to order fulfillment. The Dispatcher plays a key role in timely dispatching and coordinating customer-order pickups and deliveries within stated performance measures. The position also serves as a Senior Dispatcher and may train and certify dispatch associates. Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. PST.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
- Two years of customer service and/or dispatch experience in a transportation, distribution, or order-fulfillment industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Accurate and rapid data entry and retrieval.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Responsibilities
- Monitor activities for service orders.
- Update reports as required.
- Record inbound and outbound equipment.
- Monitor scheduled versus actual equipment types.
- Investigate overdue shipments.
- Record departure time, destination, cargo, and expected return time.
- Serve as Senior Dispatcher and potentially train and certify dispatch associates.
- Resolve higher-level problems and escalate issues to higher-level management with suggested solutions, as appropriate.
- Help ensure timely dispatching and coordinated pickup and delivery of customer orders within stated performance measures.
- Learn, understand, and work with the enterprise dispatching system.
