About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Dispatcher at its rental facility in Odenton, Maryland. The Dispatcher helps coordinate customer dispatch requests and changes, works with the sales team and other departments, and manages scheduling for drivers picking up and delivering equipment to and from customers. The role also involves monitoring driver hours and availability while maintaining a high level of customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours worked. The stated salary range is $19.50–$30; past experience and location may affect the final compensation rate.

Requirements

• Effective oral and written communication skills with internal and external partners.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and email tools, and comfort learning new technology.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization.
• Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction equipment and the rental industry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1–2 years of general dispatch experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is highly desired.
• Trade school certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of customer service with all customers.
• Coordinate and initiate customer dispatch requests and changes with the sales team and other departments.
• Manage final dispatch responsibilities, including scheduling drivers to pick up and deliver equipment to and from customers.
• Monitor drivers’ hours and schedules to determine availability for delivery responsibilities.
