About The Position

White Cap is hiring a Dispatcher to support its construction-material distribution operations. The position plans delivery schedules and optimizes vehicle routes, addresses delivery issues with customers, and ensures that invoices and loads are correct before vehicles depart. It also records vehicle arrival and departure times, tracks vehicle availability, and maintains vehicle maintenance and repair records. The role may include other duties as assigned. White Cap describes the role as generally requiring 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, fleet coordination, or a related operations role.
• Knowledge of the local geographic area and ability to optimize delivery routes and schedules effectively.
• Experience using transportation management, routing, or dispatch software, such as Descartes or similar systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including addressing delivery issues, coordinating changes, and providing timely resolutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, including coordinating with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance tracking, delivery documentation, and transportation compliance practices.
• Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities
