About The Position

The Dispatcher is responsible for setting up customer loads for delivery using outside carriers and coordinating with drivers, carrier drivers, and carrier dispatchers. The role monitors pickup and delivery performance, ensures carriers report en route as required, resolves driver and carrier issues, and follows company procedures and Federal DOT safety regulations. The Dispatcher also uses the transportation management system (TMS) after training and applies transportation technologies to support reliable service and customer expectations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of truck dispatching experience.
• Solid computer skills, including high competence in Microsoft Excel for tracking progress toward trucking operations goals and generating concise, clear reports for appropriate organizational levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, drivers, and key management personnel within the assigned region.
• Ability to use transportation technologies such as transportation management systems, GPS, and electronic logging.
• Understand how transportation affects customer service and work to improve delivery performance to meet or exceed customer expectations.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful but not required.
