A Day in the Life as a Dispatcher A Dispatcher plays a critical role in real-time field operations as we expand our footprint across the state of Kansas. They serve as the central command point for wireless and fiber installations and service calls through actively coordinating technicians, managing routes, and responding to changes throughout the day. Dispatchers focus on same-day execution, ensuring technicians are deployed efficiently, jobs stay on track, and customers remain informed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, scheduling, or similar operational roles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear, concise direction in fast-paced situations.
  • Proven ability to think critically and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing or operations-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dispatch or field coordination experience (telecommunications preferred).
  • Familiarity with dispatching, routing, or workforce management systems.
  • Experience supporting field service teams or technicians.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software or CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and monitor field technicians in real time for wireless and fiber installations and service calls.
  • Adjust technician routes and assignments throughout the day based on priority, delays, and capacity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field teams, providing direction, updates, and support.
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding appointment updates, delays, or changes.
  • Partner with Sales, Construction, and Operations to ensure accurate job readiness and execution.
  • Quickly resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and service disruptions as they arise.
  • Track job progress and ensure timely completion while maximizing technician productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, job status, and technician performance.
  • Support scheduling functions as needed, with primary focus on real-time operations.
