About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating deliveries to Behlen customers, ensuring on-time delivery, and managing fleets at Behlen Mfg. locations. The Dispatcher will communicate internally and externally to optimize productivity, assist in the on-boarding of new drivers, and maintain reports and documentation as needed. A key responsibility includes auditing loaded trailers to ensure product can be delivered safely and damage-free. The role also involves negotiating rates with LTL carriers and overseeing inbound and outbound LTL shipments to ensure optimal rates and performance. Practicing safe working habits and following safety policies and procedures is essential.

Requirements

• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Good communication skills and working with Team Partners and drivers in meeting customer needs
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, holidays and hours that exceed the normal workweek when business levels demand. Also, occasional night calls and emergencies are standard with job position.
• 2-year degree or experience in transportation required
• Computer Skills
