This role provides effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with internal and external customers through communication via mail, telephone, or in-person. The dispatcher answers the phone, takes or alters customer orders with the objectives of booking volume and negotiating schedule time and pour spacing to optimize truck demand. This position analyzes order information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and anticipate/solve problems. The role optimizes current-day deliveries by dynamically adjusting the original schedule to respond to unforeseen adjustments in customer deliveries. The dispatcher handles a large call volume with external customers and uses information from drivers on-site with customers to optimize customer service. This role works with the Sales and Administration departments to ensure all GCC Ready Mix Administration procedures are followed, particularly with respect to project entry. The dispatcher documents daily Key Performance Indicators to drive operational excellence in all departments and is responsible for running C.O.D.’s for orders taken.
