About The Position

Provides effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with internal and external customers through communication via mail or telephone or in-person with customers or company employees. Answers the phone and takes or alters customer orders with the joint objectives of booking volume and negotiating schedule time and pour spacing to optimize truck demand. Analyze order information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and anticipate/solve problems. Optimize current-day deliveries by dynamically adjusting the original schedule to respond to unforeseen adjustments in customer deliveries. Handle large call volume with external customers. Use information from drivers on-site with customers to optimize customer service. Work with the Sales and Administration departments to ensure all GCC Ready Mix Administration procedures are followed, particularly with respect to project entry. Document daily Key Performance Indicators to drive operational excellence in all departments. Responsible for running C.O.D.’s for orders taken.

Requirements

  • 1+ year or more of Dispatch or Logistics experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Geographic knowledge of local areas to schedule orders efficiently based on the physical location of the job site or plant
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers to include knowledge of department systems and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Client Services Certifications a plus
  • Associate’s degree preferred.
