About The Position

The full-time Evening Dispatch Coordinator works on-site in Londonderry, New Hampshire, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The role coordinates the timely, safe, and efficient movement of customer products in compliance with company rules and DOT regulations. The coordinator assigns work to available drivers, monitors product movement, resolves delivery and scheduling issues, and uses Ruan transportation management systems to capture operational data accurately and near real time.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
1–2 years of experience in transportation, dispatching, terminal assistance, customer service, or a related area.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
Strong working knowledge of dispatch-system technology and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of customer orders within the assigned area while maintaining customer expectations and efficiently utilizing drivers and equipment.
Direct and schedule drivers’ work, communicate assignments, and monitor driver activities and performance to support on-time movement and operational efficiency.
Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues; escalate issues to management as appropriate and communicate professionally with customer contacts about service impacts and performance.
Monitor drivers’ hours of service to prevent DOT violations.
Communicate regularly and promptly with customers about issues affecting them or their service expectations.
Prepare and process operational data and paperwork, including driver activities in computer systems, activity reports and trip documents, driver hours of service, fuel tickets, and other required items.
Update driver and dispatch information in the dispatch system in real time.
Monitor and promote safety throughout dispatch operations.
