About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning, transporting, and storing china, glassware, and silverware, and maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen areas and the back dock. The role includes breaking down trays, operating and cleaning the dish machine, handling trash, and cleaning work surfaces, walls, baseboards, the dock, and dumpster. The associate is expected to support a positive guest experience, work professionally and cooperatively with colleagues, follow hotel safety and security procedures, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to communicate in English.

Ability to communicate well with guests.
Willingness to pitch in, assist coworkers, and work as a team player.
Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
Break down trays; set up the dish machine; wash dishware; and sort and store clean china, glassware, and silverware using proper procedures.
Empty trashcans and wash them inside and outside.
Thoroughly clean the dock area and dumpster.
Break down the dish machine and clean it inside and outside.
Clean all breakdown tables.
Clean tile walls and baseboards.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Treat guests and associates with courtesy and respect and maintain professional conduct.
Follow hotel security policies and procedures, including those concerning key controls, heavy lifting, chemicals, and reporting safety hazards or concerns.
