About The Position
LCB Senior Living is hiring a full-time Dishwasher at The Residence at Summer Street in Stamford, Connecticut. The role supports a restaurant-style dining experience for residents by keeping the kitchen and dining room clean, sanitary, and safe; washing and storing dishes and equipment; and assisting with food orders, chefs, servers, and special events. The position pays $17.25–$19.75 per hour, based on years of experience.
Requirements
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to resolve problems involving dissatisfied customers and/or associates.
- Ability to build positive, strong relationships with associates, coworkers, and residents.
- Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
- Less than high school education.
- Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
- Visual and auditory acuity.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 15 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
- Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
- Wash and store dishes and equipment according to policies and procedures.
- Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, and washing, and empty trash.
- Assist with putting away and appropriately storing food orders.
- Assist chefs and servers as assigned.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals or parties.
- Follow cleaning schedules as directed by the Culinary Services Director.
- Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
- Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and dining-room equipment.
- Communicate residents’ likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
