About The Position

The Dishwasher is a general kitchen helper responsible for keeping the cleanup process moving and ensuring clean, safe utensils, dishes, silverware, and glassware are consistently available. The role also includes housekeeping duties and providing general backup for cooks. Employees are expected to support guest satisfaction, work cooperatively with coworkers, and address disagreements directly or seek guidance from a manager when needed.

Requirements

Six months to one year of experience in a similar role.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to move about on foot regularly and stand for long periods.
Ability to reach, bend, crouch, or kneel regularly.
Ability to transport up to 100 pounds occasionally; carts should be used whenever possible for safety.
Self-motivation and ability to recognize and address obvious tasks and hazardous conditions without waiting for direction.
Availability to perform other duties as directed by leadership and to help coworkers when asked.
Focus on guest satisfaction and dedication to doing the best possible job for guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Load dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware into the dishwasher and run the cycle.
Hand-wash large pots and pans in sinks, and periodically clean and sanitize sinks.
Move clean dishes, glassware, and silverware to designated locations so they are available as needed.
Regularly clean surface areas and mop floors at the end of each shift.
Follow the cleaning checklist.
Remove and properly dispose of trash.
Stock supply areas as needed.
Notify leadership of system or machine malfunctions, water spills, and similar issues.
Perform other duties assigned by leadership and help coworkers when needed.
Work as a team, respect coworkers, and address disagreements directly or seek help from a manager when appropriate.
