About The Position

The Dishwasher washes pots, pans, and dishes; maintains floors; and assists with general cleaning and sanitation. The role also involves maintaining storage areas and equipment as assigned, and may include food preparation after training. The employee supports catering and event setup, the Chef and culinary team, and dish room operators as needed. All employees must follow Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies, participate in HSEQ training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns. Employment may be contingent on successful completion of a background check and, where applicable, drug and/or alcohol screening, in accordance with applicable laws and company requirements.

Requirements

Knowledge of HACCP practices for handling dishware and food deliveries.
Passion for customer service and a positive attitude.
Dependability and accountability.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and work in a team environment.
Ability to understand and follow direction from chefs and managers.
Ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
Able to work on feet for up to 8 hours a day, excluding breaks.
Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Must come to work properly dressed according to the dress code.

Responsibilities

Set up the pot sink according to HACCP practices; wash pots and pans and put them away as directed.
Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
Sweep and mop kitchen and service-area floors as required.
Remove garbage safely as directed.
Assist with general cleaning and sanitation as assigned.
Maintain storage areas and equipment as assigned.
Work with catering to deliver food and assist with event setup.
Support the Chef, culinary team, and dish room operators as needed.
May prepare food after being asked or trained.
Follow safety rules and actively help prevent accidents.
Adhere to HSEQ policies and procedures, participate in HSEQ training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
