About The Position

The Dishwasher provides clean and sanitary service ware for customers while maintaining cleanliness in accordance with applicable law and GTRS standards. The role is responsible for sanitation in the dish rooms and works in cooperation with kitchen and banquet staff. No experience is needed, although it is preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Native American Preference applies. Employment is conditional on passing a background investigation and drug screen. The job description is not all-inclusive; employees may be assigned other reasonable related responsibilities by a supervisor or Resort management to meet department or business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work with others and independently.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, lift, and carry dish racks weighing up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sort, inspect, and store china, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other items to cleanliness standards.
• Deliver dish orders to function sites.
• Presoak flatware in solution.
• Drain and change dish-machine water; regularly check soap and rinse-agent levels and de-lime the machine as needed.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including counters, floors, and equipment.
• Monitor and clean halls, loading docks, the stewarding storeroom, silver room, coffee crew area, and dish rooms.
• Assist kitchen staff with plate-ups.
• Maintain garbage pickups throughout the banquet kitchen and bakery.
• Maintain cardboard recycling throughout the day.
• Pick up, wash, and put away bakery dishes throughout the day.
• Clean kitchen equipment when asked by the chef.
• Abide by the resort's environmental practices.
• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by a supervisor or Resort management.
